What is a PTA?
*Today’s PTA is a network of families, students, teachers, administrators, and business and community leaders devoted to the educational success of children and the promotion of family engagement in schools.
*Through advocacy, as well as family and community education, the National PTA has established programs and called for legislation that improves our children’s lives.
*PTAs fight for full funding of budgets, quality teachers, and capabilities for schools to thrive.
*All PTAs are 501-c3, non-profit organizations. PTAs are not given money by federal, state, or local governments. All funds must be raised by each individual PT which is managed and organized by volunteers.
*All money raised by PTAs is used to directly support all students and staff at each school.
